First Green!!!! ..."Pulver auf die pfann!"

Today I've received the first photos by our talented sculptor Frank Germershaus...
I'm very happy about the result and can't wait to splat some paint on him (the musketeer...;-) )!

The first miniature of the upcoming first set:     SevenYearsWar - Prussian Musketeers

  1. Very nice work and a great first miniature,. Sascha. Are you able to say what you've got planned for your first releases as well as this man or are you keeping tight lipped for the moment?

Good luck with your new venture

  3. Looks very good. It's time for some new figures concerning the SYW. There is a lack of different poses imho. So I wish you all the best and I will be one of your first customers for sure.

  4. Well done Sascha, sculptor has done a good job with this.

  5. Thanks a lot! The first wave will have 6 figures in diffrent poses. Every pose will be historical correct as listet in the prussian exercise-reglement of 1756... the second wave will have the command figures, followed by grenadiers and füsiliers...

    1. I quite like firing and loading figures, they make for great visuals on the table. Figures going through their revolutions is a good idea.

No doubt the button counters will have their own opinions as to the figures but they aren't always a true measure of a figures worth.

      Good approach.

  6. do you have a link to an online copy of the 1756 exercise-regiement? How exactlty is this figure described in relation to it?

    1. Sorry, I don't have an online-link of the reglement.
In my collection I've got a printed version from the early 70's of the last century. Maybe I can scan it for posting it here. I have to check the copyright laws, first...

    2. The figures will be exactly sculpted after the regelement. It's an age of history with well trained troops.
So every soldier and officer will have to act exactly after this reglement... If not, they received severe punishment.

  7. Excellent figurine indeed, and a promising, original program -you'd enter an already crowded area otherwise, with Minden Minis recently added.
Then, the SYW is already richly covered: what about the WAS or War of Polish Succession, for a change?
There is also a need of 'period' civilian minis...

    Best wishes!

    1. I don't agree with you about the crowded area. In my opinion there are no historical correct and eye-catching ranges out there...and we don't like the old-school look of the "Knubbel"(fat)-Figures, too.
Amsell is doing a great job for Minden, but the figures are looking like upscaled 1/72 figures and doesn't fit any other range. To stand alone on the table there are not enough poses for building good looking units.
I personal love the stuff done by the Perry-twins.
We wan't the range to be compatible to their figures but with higher detail in history.
For the other hand we come from Berlin, so the prussian history is our passion...sorry, but we have no relationship to the War of the Polish Succession.
Civilians will come in the future for sure...

  8. yes with you Sasha,,are you going to add the water bottle?as for poses I game at a scale where they are all looking straight ahead and doing the same thing..though I can now see what you are getting at with the poses. Is this IR 1 , von Winterfeld by the way? this is a most interestuing concept you are pursuing well war of the Polish succession aside War of the Austrian succession would fit your Brandenburg passions?

  9. Not every trooper will receive the water bottle. In Battle only every forth in line had a water-bottle. The spade for example wasn't used in Fighting, too.
When we make marching poses in the future, every trooper will receive it's waterbottle and spade...
Sorry there are no plans for another period yet.;)

  11. I am not that much interested in spades!!!! in fact spades on every figure would quite put me off...though marching with water bottles is very good..

  12. Interesting composition and pose Sascha, I think their is a lot of room for these figs, designed more for the mini dioramas that are becoming more popular re impetus etc.

The Prussians are a minefield and no one has them 100% correct yet...a huge project if you are going to do 12 poses for each regimental cuff, lapel and button combination ....best of luck with your venture!

    cheers
    Matt

  13. Morgen Sascha,

I really like your "greens." Eager to see the new range take shape. Will you have a shop anywhere in Berlin? My wife and I are in the city occasionally for her work.

    Best Regards,

    Stokes Schwartz
